Q: Pitches Be Crazy has won an incredible 25 straight games in Mount Pleasant, what do you think has contributed to your success?
Long: You know, part of it is experience, for sure. Obviously it took us a few seasons to get to the level we're at today. But probably the biggest thing is we play as a team. When you see us out there its not ten Pitches on that field, it's one team and you see that in the way we communicate and back each other up, I think better than anyone in our league.
Q: Is it true that Pitches Be Crazy is relocating after this season?
Long: It is, yeah. We've been looking to transfer to that next league up for a while, and we're excited to officially be playing Downtown next season.
Q: We've not seen Ben Joyce in the lineup for several weeks in a row now, is he still with the team?
Long: We haven't announced it yet, but we have agreed to terms with City of Oaks Kickball Club on a deal for them to acquire Ben from us. Connor's been having a breakout season himself, which gave us the ability to deal an outfielder, but we already knew he was looking for a transfer to the Raleigh area, and so the deal worked out well for our club and theirs, and obviously for Ben as well. We'll miss him out there in center field, but excited to see what he does he with the new team.
Q: The team has been doing great in recent offseasons with incoming transfers, is the front office working on transfer plans for the upcoming window already?
Long: Our analytics partners at Very Good Coding are always working hard to make sure we've got the best scouting reports, so we've definitely got some transfer targets we're interested in, but PBC probably has the strongest roster in club history at the moment so the transfer window is a luxury for us. It'll be tough to match the quality of some of our recent additions, I think we've added 4 top players to our squad with Miles, Randy, Connor and Amy, but yeah, we have plans for this upcoming window.
Q: Do you have a prediction for tonight's match against the Alcoballics?
Long: I think we'll score more runs than them.
